The certificate in operational digitalisation prepares specialists specifically for the challenges of digital transformation. They acquire up-to-date know-how in the areas of digitalisation and data management - practical, compact and directly applicable in their everyday appointments. Through the combination of sound fundamentals and practice-oriented content in engineering informatics, software development, statistics, data science and digital factory, participants develop important skills for the future.

The certificate is an integral part of the part-time Bachelor's degree course in Industrial Engineering - Management and can be fully credited.

The Operational Digitalisation certificate aims to teach operational specialists the state of the art in digitalisation and data management and their practical application. The practice-oriented, fundamental content in the areas of engineering informatics, software development, statistics and data science as well as the digital factory should enable participants to plan, implement and successfully complete complex projects in an efficient and customer-oriented manner.

Interested parties with technical and/or commercial professional experience and successfully completed advanced training, e.g. as a master craftsman, technician, business administrator (or equivalent). The certificate is designed for appointments from technical professions or a technically oriented professional environment for whom the topics of digitalisation in industrial plants, workflows and business processes are relevant and who are seeking further development and competence building in this field.
