That's why I chose the study course at THI:

The interaction between machines and humans is a real future field for me and thanks to a laboratory course, I realised that I wanted to work in this area.
I chose the THI because professors with many years of practical experience teach here and you don't get lost among hundreds of students in an oversized lecture theatre. Here, every professor welcomes you to come up to them after class or during their office hours to ask questions.

My tip for study orientation:

Scour the internet and click on everything that sounds interesting to you. Do laboratory courses to find or narrow down your interests and talk to students at university information days who can give you an authentic picture of what it's like to study.
And if you have any doubts about whether you could even manage a study course, you can do it, stay confident, others have done it before you. :)

Contents of my academic studies:

- Basic studies (semesters 1 & 2): these contents are actually covered by every study course in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (e.g. maths, technical mechanics, ...)

- Specialisation: elective modules, modules specific to Biomechanics (e.g. bionics, physiology and anatomy, ...)

You should have these character traits for the study course:

Self-orgnaisation, ability to work in a team, ambition and perseverance

My favourite thing about the THI:

My fellow students :) There is almost a family atmosphere at THI, especially in Biomechanics.

Mainly an interest in physics

My favourite subject:

Fundamentals of Biomechanics so far :) here we also got an insight into our Biomechanics lab every now and then
