The Institute AImotion Bavaria brings together THI’s AI research activities in the field of mobility. Its research focus areas include autonomous driving, unmanned aerial vehicles and AI-supported automotive production. Through AImotion Bavaria, THI acts as a state-wide AI mobility hub within the framework of the Bavarian High-Tech Agenda.

Institute of Innovative Mobility (IIMo)

The Institute of Innovative Mobility (IIMo) at THI offers research expertise within its Artificial Intelligence research focus area, particularly in the areas of adaptive battery systems and AI in electronics manufacturing. With the IIMo’s Research Group Electromobility and Learning Systems (ELS), THI is exceptionally well-positioned in this field.

Bavarian Foresight Institute

The Bavarian Foresight Institute is dedicated to technology-oriented foresight research. It investigates technological trends and highlights how they impact the economy and society. The focus is on Artificial Intelligence and mobility, but also on sustainability. With the Future Navigator , the Bavarian Foresight Institute has created a tool for companies to identify trends and develop future scenarios.

AININ

AININ (Artificial Intelligence Network Ingolstadt gGmbH), an affiliated institute of THI, conducts research into forward-looking topics in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning with a view to practical application. AININ, as a consortium of academic, business and local authority organisations, advises companies, provides support in carrying out applied research projects and organises public dialogue forums on AI.
