Students at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences who are at least in their 2nd semester can now apply for the Oskar Karl Forster Scholarship via PRIMUSS. The scholarship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis in accordance with the above guidelines.

Depending on the requirements, learning materials such as books, software, or laptops/tablets may be funded. The need for such materials must be confirmed by a responsible faculty member.

For doctoral candidates, only printing costs for dissertations are funded as part of the final-year grant.

What is not eligible for funding?

e.g., printing costs (except for dissertations), printers, smartphones

 

What are the requirements?

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • are enrolled in at least your second semester (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D.) at THI
  • are not on a leave of absence at the time of application
  • can demonstrate financial need
  • have not yet received the Oskar-Karl-Forster Scholarship (the scholarship may be awarded only once per Bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctoral program)

Note: The scholarship is awarded regardless of religious affiliation or nationality

What documents are required for the application?

  • A fully completed and signed application (electronic signature accepted)
  • Breakdown of costs for learning materials and recommendation from a qualified faculty member regarding expenses
  • Proof of financial need
    • Undergraduate students: BAföG notification
    • Doctoral students: Income tax assessment (income ceiling: €1,800 gross per month)
  • Subsequently: Invoice (issued to the applicant)

How does the application process work?

  1. Submit Your Application
    Submit the application form along with all required documents to PRIMUSS by the deadline listed above. Applications sent by mail cannot be considered.
  2. Receive a Response
    After the application deadline has passed, you will receive written notification regarding whether funding is available and, if so, the amount.
  3. Purchase Educational Materials
    Purchase the educational materials listed in your application and submit the invoice. The invoice must be made out in your name.

    Note: Grants may also be paid out if the learning materials have already been purchased. However, the invoice must not be older than 1 year.

  4. Payment
    After the submitted invoices have been reviewed, the approved amount will be transferred to your account.
